NATA IDOL 2023 Singing Competition
Participant Rules

NATA IDOL 2023 Singing Competition Program comprises of four levels as follows.
- Round 1: Audition (Recorded video songs due by May 14, 2023)
- Round 2: Round 2 (Different Dates)
- Semi Finals/Finals (July 1-2, 2023)
General Rules
- This competition will be streamed in Social Media and TV and participant should not have any objection to appear in Social Media or TV.
- Participant must be North American Resident only
- Participant has a choice to choose any of the 10 cities of their choice.
- Participants can choose ANY song from ANY Movie as long as the song meets the below criteria.
· The song must be in the Telugu Language.
· Length of the recording should not exceed 5 minutes.
· Lyrics should not be indecent or obscene.
· Lyrics should not be promoting any kind of hate against anyone.
· The song must have been used is in the movie, and the song must have been released officially.
Rules for Audition
- Fee for Audition is $30
- Participant must be in the age group of 12-45 years as of July 1, 2023. Proof of age will be asked during Audition Round.
- Family members of the person (including himself/herself) who is in NATA IDOL 2023 Singing Competition Committee cannot participate in the competitions.
- participant can record the song using any device, but the recording should be clear, and lyrics should be audible. The poor recording may disqualify the entry.
- Singer face and head must be clearly visible in the video while singing the song for the audition.
- Karaoke tracks should NOT be used for Audition submissions.
- Well-Known judge will screen all entries.
- Top participants picked by the judges will advance to the Round 2.
- Participants who advanced to the Round 2 will be informed through email.
- Participant cannot have any direct communication with the judge. Trying to communicate with the judge by any media can lead to disqualifying the participant from advancement to the next level.
- NATA has right to share these videos on Social Media and TV.
Rules for Round 2
- Fee for Round 2 is $50
- Round 2 dates vary.
- Round 2 will be conducted on June 3,4, 10,11, 17,18, 24,25 of 2023. If there is a change to this date in case of unavoidable circumstances, that will be communicated as early as possible.
- The song must have the background Karaoke. The Karaoke track must be clear from the noise and should not have any vocal part in it, even if it is of opposite gender’s.
- Participants selected for Round 2 will be asked to submit the Karaoke tracks via email.
- Karaoke tracks must be received at least seven days before the competition.
- The participant should send the below details when sending the track.
· First Few Words from the Song
· Movie Name
· Lyricist Name
· Music Director Name
· Original Singers Name
- The participant must attend Round 2 Online on the published date. Failure to do so will automatically disqualify the participant.
- Judge(s) will select the winners. Judge(s) has all the rights to select the qualified participants for the Finals.
- Round 2 Winners will be announced within 24 hours on NATA website/Social Media and will be informed through email.
- Round 2 Winners will advance to the Semi Finals that will be conducted at NATA Convention Dallas 2023.
- Please note that you will have disadvantage if the audio quality is bad because of the Network issues. It is completely your responsibility.
Rules for Semi-Finals and Finals & Other Guidelines
- No fee for Finals, It’s FREE!!
- Top singers from Round 2 from each city will advance to Semi-Finals.
- Top singers from Semi-Finals will advance to Finals.
- Semi-Finals and Finals will be conducted on July 1, 2023. If there is a change to this date in case of unavoidable circumstances, that will be communicated as early as possible.
- The song must have the background Karaoke. The Karaoke track must be clear from the noise and should not have any vocal part in it, even if it is of opposite gender’s.
- Participants selected for Finals will be asked to submit the Karaoke tracks via email.
- Karaoke tracks must be received at least 4 days before the competition.
- The participant should send the below details when sending the track.
- First Few Words from the Song
- Movie Name
- Lyricist Name
- Music Director Name
- Original Singers Name
- The participant must attend Dallas Convention to participate in Finals. Failure to do so will automatically disqualify the participant.
- Judge(s) will select the winners (1st, 2nd & 3rd place). Judge(s) has all the rights to select the winners in Finals.
- 1st place winner will get a chance to sing a song in Telugu Movie.
